How It Started
A Market Built on Pagmamahal
Pioneer Street Market began as a simple idea: what if one place could hold the entire flavor of the Philippines? Not just the food — but the stories behind it, the hands that cook it, the regions that shaped it.
In 2018, a small group of food lovers, cultural advocates, and community organizers came together along Pioneer Street in Mandaluyong. They believed that Filipino street food deserved a permanent home — a place where a Bicolano vendor could set up beside a Cebuano grill master, where Ilocano empanada could be eaten steps away from Davao durian.
What started as a weekend pop-up has grown into Metro Manila's most beloved cultural food destination, hosting hundreds of vendors and thousands of visitors every week.

Our Night Market runs every evening with extended vendor hours, neon-lit stalls, street food specials, live entertainment, and the kind of electric atmosphere you can only find here. Maria Santos
Co-Founder & Market Director
Maria grew up eating street food across the Philippines and spent 15 years in the food industry before founding Pioneer Street Market. Her vision: a place where every Filipino region has a voice.
Ramon dela Cruz
Co-Founder & Cultural Programs Lead
A cultural anthropologist and lifelong advocate for Filipino heritage, Ramon designs the market's cultural programming and ensures every event is rooted in authentic tradition.
Liza Reyes
Vendor Relations Manager
Liza works directly with our 200+ vendors to ensure they have everything they need to succeed. She's the reason our vendor community is one of the tightest-knit in Metro Manila.
